Part of an interesting interview of the President of the United States Donald Trump by Jonathan Swan on Axios. Using the wrong numbers to make it look like the USA is doing better than the rest of the world nicely debunked by Jonathan Swan. He suggests you should use the number of deaths compared to the population as a good indicator of how a country is doing and he is right. Using the number compared to the amount of cases is highly irrelevant as it depends how much a country is testing. If you test a lot, like the USA, your numbers will definately be better as you will have more (known) cases. If you don’t test your numbers will be looking worse. That’s why taking numbers compared to the population gives a better idea of the situation a country is in. Presently it seems the USA is doing as badly as Brazil if you look at the following graph, and much worse than most of the countries in the rest of the world, and unfortunately still has rising numbers…
